Charlotte, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte head men's soccer coach
Teddy Bogba is thrilled to announce the signing of Said Suaste-Jimenez as the ninth member of the 2026 recruiting class.
Suaste-Jimenez recently graduated from Alexander Central High School in Taylorsville, NC where he was a three year member of the boys soccer team as a forward. The Cougars won 39 games in those three seasons, making two appearances in the NCHSAA state soccer playoffs. He plays club soccer for Charlotte Soccer Academy's ECNL-RL North team.
Suaste-Jimenez is the son of Laura Jimenez and Rodrigo Suaste and plans to major in Public Health at Johnson & Wales. When asked why he chose JWU, he listed the amazing coaches and environment as his reasons for becoming a Wildcat.
Coach Bogba saw many things that he liked when scouting Suaste-Jimenez. "Said is a wonderful addition to this incoming class. What immediately caught our eye during the recruiting process was his composure under pressure and his clean technical ability. He has the vision to unlock defenses and the work rate to impact the game on both sides of the ball. Saud brings a great soccer IQ and a fantastic attitude into our locker room, and we are eager to assist in his development as he transitions to the collegiate level."
