Ryan Joye Signs With JWU Men's Soccer

Charlotte, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte head men's soccer coach Teddy Bogba is excited to announce the signing of Ryan Joye as the eleventh member of the Wildcats' 2026 recruiting class.

Joye is a recent graduate of Broughton High School in Raleigh, where he was a member of the Capitals' 2025 CAP 8A Conference champions. He played in all 24 games for Broughton, scoring four goals and adding one assist. He plays club soccer for North Carolina Football Club.

Joye is the son of Candace and Michael Joye and plans to major in Sports, Event, and Entertainment Management at Johnson & Wales. He listed the athletic opportunities that JWU affords, as well as the campus offering the area of study that he is interested in pursuing as his reasons for deciding to become a Wildcat. Joye is a multi-time A/B Honor Roll student.

Coach Bogba feels that both Joye's physical skills and understanding of the game make him a great fit at Johnson & Wales. "We are thrilled to officially welcome Ryan to the program. Keeping top-tier, in-state talent right here in North Carolina is a major priority for us, and landing a player of Ryan's caliber out of Raleigh is a massive win. He comes from a highly competitive soccer market, which shows in his sharp tactical awareness, his work rate, and his technical foundation. Ryan fits seamlessly into our style of play, and we are excited to see him bring that local grit and hunger to our squad as we push for a championship."
