Charlotte, N.C. - The Coast-To-Coast Conference released its preseason men's and women's soccer coaches' polls this week. Johnson & Wales Charlotte saw their men's and women's soccer teams each predicted to finish fifth by the leagues coaches.

The JWU men received 18 points in the preseason poll, just four behind UC Santa Cruz, and seven behind third place Salisbury. Christopher Newport was picked to win the conference, while Mary Washington was voted runner-up.
The Wildcats look to build on a successful 2025 campaign under second year head coach Teddy Bogba. JWU returns C2C leading scorer Niklas Seguin (Mooresville, N.C.) as the tip of the spear in the Wildcat attack. He is joined by nine other upperclassmen, including senior netminder Colin Starr (Columbus, Ga.), who returns to action after missing much of last season due to injury. The recruiting class produced eighteen newcomers, who will fill vital roles across the field this season. Players to watch among that group are Dominik Danko (Charlotte, N.C.), who tallied 58 points during his senior season at Charlotte's Palisades High School. Two more freshmen who are expected to make immediate contributions on the pitch are Ryan Joye (Raleigh, N.C.) and Noah Dillon (Salisbury, N.C.). JWU kicks off the season with a four-game road trip, including matchups with ODAC members Randolph and Randolph-Macon. The middle part of the season is highlighted by a game at Davidson. The Wildcats wind down the regular season with tilts against conference foes Christopher Newport, Mary Washington, Regent and Warren Wilson in four of their final five games.

The Wildcat women received 29 points, just three behind co-third place contenders UC-Santa Cruz and Salisbury. Mary Washington led the balloting with 47 points, just two more than second place Christopher Newport. JWU Charlotte returns a veteran side in 2026 after finishing 8-8-1 last season. Eleven Wildcat regulars return as they continue to develop a cohesive and balanced attack and defensive setup. Senior Zoe Balmer (Raleigh, N.C.) and sophomore Allison Bryman (Ellicott City, Md.) will each vie for minutes in net behind the Wildcat backline. All-C2C selection Isabelle Gonzalez (Dacula, Ga.) anchors that backline, while fellow All-Conference performer Olivia Kieffer (Charlotte, N.C.), along with Hannah Greene (Holly Springs, N.C.) set the tempo in the midfield. Junior Jess Garman (Waxhaw, N.C.) keys the Wildcat attack, and will be joined by Mia Townson (Guatemala City, GTM) and Azalianna Absalom (Pelzer, S.C.). Newcomers to watch include defender Elliette Kinney (Creswell, Ore.), who was a two-sport star in high school, and Gabriela Rebollar (Elizabethtown, N.C.), who will bolster the midfield. The Wildcats face off against two in-state, non-conference foes during the season in addition to trips to the Peach State to take on Agnes Scott and Berry. The regular season closes with a trio of C2C opponents, as JWU travels to Salisbury before hosting Warren Wilson and Regent.
